This Toy Robot is Saving Forests One Tree at Time

National Arbor Day is coming up on April 28th and Kale the toy robot is asking for everyone to get involved with the Kauz closest to his heart!

Kauzbots, particularly Kale, our toy robot with a heart for revitalizing the forests around the country and across the globe, is getting ready to celebrate National Arbor Day on April 28, 2017. We have teamed up with the Arbor Day Foundation and for every Kale the Kauzbot sold, 10% is donated for this Kauz.

The Arbor Day Foundation has had huge successes and hit milestones of 60 million trees planted in our nation’s forests! We are so excited to partner with them as National Arbor Day approaches.

In recent years we have had record wildfire seasons that have destroyed millions of forests across the United States. While some forests are capable of regeneration there is no need for replanting. In many instance this is not the case. Large U.S. Forest Services budgets are used to fight these large fires and with the diversion of these funds not much is left for replanting. After many years of this (storms and insect epidemics are responsible as well) there are millions of acres that don’t have the funding for replanting.

Time is very much the essence when it comes to replanting efforts. When too much time has gone by there are invasive species of trees and brush can take over that are fire-prone. Wildlife is affected and watershed areas are not capable of producing clean water anymore.

What can the sale of our toy robots, in particular Kale do to help? Kale, loves the Global Goals and initiatives the Arbor Day Foundation has. They include programs like No Poverty, Quality Education, Clean Water and Sanitation, Industry Innovation and Infrastructure, Responsible Consumption and Production, Climate Action and Life on Land. You can learn more about their Global Goals here.

Kale not only loves to support environmental issues surrounding the Arbor Day Foundation, he is a big fan of their Nature Explore Classrooms. They are made up of outdoor spaces designed for learning of children. There are two classrooms at the actual the Arbor Day Farm in Nebraska. They have activities that include building nature art, climbing, music and movement. They have more than a ten years of research they use behind these activities and have collaborated with educational, design, health and environmental organizations.

The Arbor Day Foundation is a nonprofit conservation and education organization. We are so happy to be one of their partners in support to make the world healthier and greener, the same color of our toy robot Kale.
