A Heart for World Refugees

Kiefer's heart has been touched by stories of people who face many problems that require social change on a daily basis, and all at once. Kiefer knows when people think about helping others, they often think about helping the poor, provide food for the hungry, shelter for homeless, and health care for the hurting. Keifer's heart is for refugees who need help in all areas. They are homeless, hungry and hurting.

Kiefer has learned through helping world refugees, that they are in foreign lands with no one they know and no place to go. Last year there were over 10 million refugees who had nowhere to go, and no way to get there.

Kiefer sees people all over the world; in Africa, Haiti, Pakistan, and so many more- displaced and alone. There are organizations like the United Nations (UN) and the US Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) who work hard to fill the gaps, but there are still so many people who have no home to speak of, and no means to get one. They are forced out of their homes and even countries due to war, violence, and other dangers they are facing. They are scared and need to know someone knows they are alive and need help. They need shelter, water, food, healthcare, and education.

Kiefer travels all over the world and visits displaced people living in refugee camps, and other temporary places working to help educate, feed and clothe them. He helps to provide them with medical attention and give them a place to stay. Kiefer even sends them care packages when he's away. He sends them books, food, toiletries. Sometimes he sends them clothes. He knows that even though he may not be able to be there with them, every little thing he does can help. Kiefer has even organized finding temporary homes for some of the people who have nowhere else to go. If there's a way, Kiefer will find it!
